Amirexx considers contributing to the community an important part of its role as a consulting group. Specific projects have included:

Adopt-A-Dog is a dog and cat rescue sanctuary serving New York, Connecticut, and beyond for the past three decades. Adopt-A-Dog's mission is to find safe, permanent, and loving homes for companion animals, while enhancing their lives as well as the people who are their guardians and providing life-time shelter to those animals least likely to be adopted.

Amirexx worked on their mission, strategy, and resource plan going forward from 2014.

Harvard Community Partners Connecticut’s (HCPCT) mission is to create opportunities for alumni to work together to promote excellence in nonprofit management throughout the state. Working in teams, alumni undertake management consulting projects and conduct workshops on topics of special interest to local non-profit institutions. HCPCT has provided services to over 80 Connecticut nonprofit organizations, touching the lives of hundreds of thousands.

Pederson has worked with HCPCT on projects involving strategy, funding, and marketing.

Harvard Community Partners of New York’s mission is to connect HBS alumni with nonprofits in the greater New York area that seek assistance with business and management issues. The program creates access to expertise that might otherwise be unaffordable and unavailable to nonprofits while providing HBS alumni with meaningful engagement, intellectual stimulation and the potential to have real impact.

Pederson worked with a HCPNY on a project focusing on funding, organization positioning and resource allocation.

Amirexx worked on a strategic plan to position the organization, align resources with needs, and optimize staffing.

In 2013, grants of $1,040,691 were awarded to over 100 nonprofits providing a wide range of services to the elderly, youth, those in need, the arts, and the environment.
Silvermine Arts Center’s mission is to cultivate, promote, and encourage growth through the arts, to showcase and serve artists, and to foster arts education and appreciation opportunities for the greater community. Founded in 1922, it now is comprised of a Guild of over 300 professional artists, five galleries presenting new exhibitions every six weeks, and sponsoring regional and national competitions attracting 12,000 annual visitors, a gift shop; a School of Art providing annual enrollment to 4,500 crossing all levels of experience, public programs, and outreach programs to schools.

Pederson worked on team to provide input on positioning, competition, finances, funding and marketing.
